At Cornell Dental Centre, we understand that life can be busy and plans can change. Our office policies are designed to keep your dental care running smoothly while being fair and respectful to both our patients and our team.
Appointments & Cancellations
We value your time and appreciate you valuing ours. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice whenever possible. This allows us to offer the appointment to another patient who may be waiting for care.
We understand that unexpected situations happen. If you need to make a change to your appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible, and we’ll be happy to help find another convenient time.
Payment & Dental Insurance
Cornell Dental Centre accepts most dental insurance plans and, when permitted by your insurance provider, we can submit claims electronically on your behalf to help make the reimbursement process easier.
Our fees generally follow the current Ontario Dental Association (ODA) fee guide, and financing options may be available for select major cosmetic and restorative treatments. Please speak with our team for more information.
While we’re happy to assist with insurance claims and help you better understand your benefits, your dental treatment will always be recommended based on your individual oral health needs—not your insurance coverage.
Understanding Your Coverage
Dental insurance plans vary, and coverage is determined by the agreement between you, your employer and your insurance provider. Many plans include annual maximums, deductibles, limitations or exclusions, and some clinically necessary treatments may not be covered.
If you have questions about your specific benefits or coverage, we recommend contacting your insurance provider directly. Our team is always happy to help you navigate the administrative side of your dental care wherever we can.
Please note that patients are responsible for payment of their account at the time of treatment, regardless of insurance coverage or reimbursement.
