Dr. M. Weerasinghe

Dr. Migara Weerasinghe brings decades of education, clinical experience and a passion for comprehensive, preventive dental care to Cornell Dental Centre.
After completing his B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Microbiology, with a specialty in Cell and Molecular Biology, at the University of Toronto, Dr. Weerasinghe graduated from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry in 1995. He went on to complete a dental residency at the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital in 1997.
For more than two decades, Dr. Weerasinghe has proudly served as a Markham dentist, providing family, cosmetic and restorative dentistry with a focus on prevention, comfort and long-term oral health. He has also served as a courtesy associate at Markham Stouffville Hospital, providing emergency dental consultations and treatment, and as a clinical dental instructor at the University of Toronto in oral diagnosis and emergency dentistry.
Dr. Weerasinghe is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Weerasinghe enjoys spending time with his family, photography, cycling, running and staying active. His commitment to community involvement and charitable initiatives reflects the same care and connection he brings to his work.
